So, when we talk about being fun to drive, what exactly do we mean? Well, the Crown doesn’t have to come in hybrid form if you don’t want it to. You can equip the vehicle with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and skip the hybrid system. But you’ll probably get the most out of the Crown’s performance by equipping it with the 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid system.

Either way, in its most powerful form, the Crown is capable of delivering up to 340 horsepower and an estimated 41 mpg combined. It also comes standard with AWD no matter whether or not you opt for the hybrid powertrain.

Style and Amenities

As Toyota describes it, the Crown is a combination of “executive styling of a premium sedan, the flowing shape of a sports car and the elevated cabin of an SUV.” We think that’s accurate, and features like black leather trim and a 12.3-inch multimedia display. On the outside, the Crown shows off an available two-tone design that lets you pair a black front and rear fascia, hood and side accents with stunning paint colors like Supersonic Red, Oxygen White, Bronze Age and Heavy Metal.
