Oct 13, 2020

It goes without saying that 2020 has been the most difficult year in modern history by far. The global pandemic definitely has created a lot of turmoil in all of our lives. Earlier this year Valley Hi Toyota teamed up with 99.1 KGGI to give away a new 2020 Toyota Corolla. The winner of the “Summer of Cars” contest was Nora Sifuentes of San Bernardino, California (VIDEO). As a mother of 6, a couple of driving age, it was a pleasant surprise and has made a huge difference in their lives. For the past 7 years, we have given away 19 used cars (2 new). If you follow us on social media you could see how much our car giveaways bring a spirit of hope and community to the High Desert. Everyone roots for one another and in some way it uplifts the people in the Victor Valley. Although the contests have been open to Californians as a whole who are 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license, the majority, if not all, live in the High Desert.

Ironically Used Car Giveaway number 20 is now in full effect in the year 2020. (See previous winner videos HERE.) A Toyota Corolla S is up for grabs in a contest that should extend right before Christmas. “I think it’s appropriate that we return back to our Used Car Giveaway because the people of the High Desert have gone through so much. This is our community and they deserve for us to continue this car giveaway,” said Todd Stokes, General Manager at Valley Hi Toyota in Victorville. “It’s a great time, especially now, that our infamous car giveaway returns.

All of the winners are randomly selected through a number of mini-contests conducted by Creative Director, Brian Ortega. He coordinates the vehicle with Used Car Manager, Rodney Martinez, and Used Car Assistant Manager, Sandy Wherry. They pick a car and the time for the contests to begin. “This year, I want to reward our most devoted engagers,” said Ortega. “There have been people following all of our social media posts for years and have unfortunately missed out on becoming a finalist.” The contest lasts about 3 months with different ways of becoming one of 25 finalists. It could be posting a photo, using a hashtag, filling out a form, or as simple as commenting on the unveiling video.

“We’ve done that a few times. Randomly selected comments are chosen, and boom, just like that, someone is in the running to win a car! How exciting and simple is that?!” continues Ortega. This year, 10 finalists will be chosen by just commenting on the post. How many times can you comment? As many times as you can within a time frame. This time, potential finalists must be present. “I will be going on Facebook LIVE at 5pm on Monday, October 26 to draw names from the thousands of comments. If I call out someone’s name and they don’t respond with a comment or message within two minutes, I’m choosing another person, it’s as simple as that.” How can you enter? Be sure to LIKE Valley Hi Toyota on Facebook, (you should also FOLLOW on Instagram and SUBSCRIBE to their YouTube Channel) and comment on this post.

Set your alarms, create a notification, tell SIRI to remind you, call in sick (don’t do that) to listen for your name on October 26, at 5pm on Facebook LIVE, and to listen to the next way you can qualify to win Valley Hi Toyota’s Used Car Giveaway 20!

Winner must be 18 years or older California resident with a valid CA Drivers License.
