Performance

All Crown Signia models come standard with the Toyota Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system. The system features a 188-hp 2.5-liter DOHC inline-4 engine with 178 lb-ft of torque, combined with a front motor producing 199 lb-ft of torque and a rear motor producing 89 lb-ft of torque. Pairedwith a continuously variable transmission, the combined system produces 240 horsepower. The rear motor enables electronic on-demand AWD, eliminating drivetrain drag when it’s not needed, while providing the necessary power when required. The rear motor assists during acceleration and when the front tires lose traction.

The Crown Signia drivetrain achieves an EPA-estimated 39 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, for a combined 38 mpg, which can help reduce the cost of both daily driving and long road trips.

Underneath, you will find the same four-wheel independent suspension as the Crown sedan, with front MacPherson struts, rear multi-link geometry, and front and rear stabilizer bars. The system is tuned to prioritize a smooth yet controlled driving experience on the highway. The braking system features 12.9-inch ventilated discs in the front and 12.5-inch ventilated discs in the rear, with standard ABS.

Exterior

Although based on the Crown sedan, the Crown Signia features its own distinctive front with a subtle, integrated body-color grille consisting of a refined diamond mesh. It also offers a unique interpretation of the Hammerhead front-end design language seen on other Toyota models, highlighted by slit-like LED daytime running lights. The LED headlights are positioned in the corners and are nearly concealed for a sleek overall front appearance.

Free from off-road pretensions, the Crown Signia’s profile is long, low, and as smooth and refined as its ride. Less is more, with black pillars blending seamlessly into the side windows, creating an unbroken greenhouse effect from front to rear over a subtle, wedge-shaped lower body. The taillights maintain the smooth theme with a thin LED strip spanning the entire width of the car and a similar center high-mount stop lamp positioned under the rear roof spoiler. Even the roof rails are low-profile, adding to a refined look. XLE models feature 19-inch wheels, while the Limited grade comes with 21-inch rims.

Interior

The interior mirrors that of the Crown sedan, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens aligned on the same horizontal plane for quick glances by the driver. The volume knob is prominently placed. A full set of physical controls allows for quick adjustments and is easily within reach, thanks to low-profile center vents for the dual-zone climate control system. The center console includes a low-profile shift knob and a vertical wireless charger, simplifying charging and keeping your phone properly positioned. The soft dash material ties the door panels, center console, and seats together, creating a cohesive look. Bronze trim on the dash, steering wheel, and door handles adds a touch of elegance.

Passenger volume is 99.32 cubic feet or 96.45 with the Panoramic Moonroof. Rear legroom is 37.1 inches, and rear shoulder room is 55 inches. Behind the rear seat, there is 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space with a cargo floor depth of 31.9 inches. When you fold the rear seats, the integrated seatback panels can swing forward to extend the load floor to the front seatbacks. With this configuration, there is 68.8 cubic feet of cargo space, featuring a 6.625-foot load floor length. Both cargo space figures are reduced slightly by the panoramic roof.

Technology

Connectivity is effortless with wireless Apple and Android smartphone compatibility, as well as Bluetooth audio and phone streaming. Subscription trials for Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, Drive Connect, Safety Connect, and Service Connect provide additional interaction. The Digital Key system, which lets you use your smartphone as a physical car key, is standard on the Limited, which also features an 11-speaker, 800-watt JBL Premium Audio system with a powered subwoofer.

Safety and Driver Assistance   

The 2026 Toyota Crown Signia arrives with the latest Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 3.0) suite of safety and driver assistance technologies, which includes:

As of this writing, the Crown Signia has not yet been tested by the NHTSA; however, the Crown sedan has earned an overall 5-star rating from the NHTSA.
