2026 Toyota Tundra TRD

Performance

The 2026 Tundra TRD Pro is powered by the i-FORCE MAX 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid driveline, producing 437 hp @ 5,200 rpm and 583 lb-ft of torque @ 2,400 rpm. The hybrid system uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor between the engine and transmission, producing 48 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. While the hybrid system is mainly on hand to increase power, two-wheel-drive models add about two mpg across the EPA city/hwy/comb estimates at 20/24/22 for most grades.  

Some TRD Off-Road and TRD Rally models can be powered by the i-FORCE 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. This engine puts down 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. This engine can turn fuel economy city/hwy/comb estimates of 17/22/19 with four-wheel drive. 

These i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX drivelines include a 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence, sequential shift mode, uphill/downhill shift logic, and tow/haul driving modes. The chassis consists of an independent double-wishbone front suspension with a stabilizer bar and twin-tube shock absorbers. At the rear is an independent multi-link arrangement with coil springs and outboard-mounted twin-tube shock absorbers. 

On TRD models, an electronically locking rear differential is standard to provide added traction in 4WD Low applications. Multi-Terrain Monitor also comes standard on TRD Pro and TRD Off-Road Package-equipped models, allowing the driver to check the immediate surroundings for potential obstacles. Pressing a button on the console activates front, rear, and side-camera views on the center display.

The TRD Pro model comes standard with a part-time 4×4 system, as do all 2026 Tundras with the TRD Off-Road package. In addition, they are also equipped with Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and Downhill Assist Control – all developed to make going off-highway an easier task to accomplish.

The i-FORCE MAX maximum payload varies by configuration and grade, ranging from 1,565 pounds. Maximum towing varies by configuration and ranges from 11,170 pounds for the CrewMax 4×4. 

Exterior  

All 2026 Tundra models have four cabin doors with a choice of either a Double Cab or CrewMax cab, the latter of which adds 8.3 inches of rear legroom for a total of 46.1. Double Cab models are exclusively available with an 8.1′ bed and are also available with a 6.5′ bed. Most CrewMax grades offer either a 6.5′ or 5.5′ bed. Specific configuration availability is as follows: 

Interior

The dashboard on the 2026 Tundra features a chunky, purposeful-looking appearance. The wide center console provides plenty of storage along with the shift lever. Lower trim levels feature analog gauges and a driver-information display, while higher trim levels feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

You can also equip your TRD Pro with ISO Dynamic seats. These seats use oil-infused shocks to counterbalance any undulations you may experience on rougher terrain.

Technology

All grades of the 2026 Tundra come standard with a 14.0-inch touchscreen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is standard on all models. Both a 12-speaker JBL audio system and Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging are available on the Limited and standard on all above grades. Keyless entry and start are standard on all models, as is automatic climate control. Dual-zone climate control is available on the SR5 and standard above. SR5 models and above feature Drive Mode Select with Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes and two different TOW/HAUL modes. Higher models feature Sport S, Sport S+, and Custom drive modes.    

The very useful Trailer Backup Guide system with Straight Path Assist (SPA) is available or standard on specific grades. One-touch power windows and a power rear window are standard on all models. The new wireless trailer camera system increases visibility with a Wi-Fi camera you can attach to the rear of your trailer and view on the digital rearview mirror or center multimedia screen.

Safety

All 2026 Tundra models feature the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of safety and driver assist systems, which include:

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and trailer detection is available on SR5 and standard on all higher grades. All models have eight airbags with knee airbags for the driver and front passenger. Also standard on all 2026 Tundra grades is the Star Safety System, which includes:
