​​All-New Toyota Audio Multimedia Features Coming Soon​

With the launch of the all-new 2026 RAV4, Toyota is introducing a new and enhanced Toyota Audio Multimedia. This state-of-the-art system features AT&T 5G connectivity, a unique design that looks and feels more like your smartphone, a Voice Assistant, built-in Spotify, plus a digital instrument cluster that, for the first time ever, features turn-by-turn navigation in the cluster display.  

“The teams behind our new Toyota Audio Multimedia system have worked together to build something we are proud to bring to the RAV4 this year,” said Brian Inouye, Chief Engineer at Toyota Motor North America. “The enhancements we’ve made are driven by both function and performance at their core, and we are excited for our customers to enjoy an in-cabin experience like never before.” 

The system has a cleaner and more customizable infotainment screen layout for both the standard 10.5-inch and optional 12.9-inch screens, with richer colors and graphics and faster response times thanks to higher-level computing power. Owners can now customize the home screen to their liking with widgets for various functions, including navigation, audio, connected devices, weather, and drive modes. In the upper right corner is the Quick Control Menu, which is always available and allows you to quickly access your settings for Bluetooth devices, screen brightness, or change between light and dark mode, call Roadside Assistance, and turn Advanced Driver Assistance Systems on or off. This latest system even gives owners wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.  

Toyota is also bringing Drive Recorder, an all-new feature that uses exterior cameras to record different events that take place while driving, as standard equipment on all RAV4 trim levels. Drivers can manually record and save different situations on the road with the exterior cameras, as well as adjust the sensitivity of when the cameras automatically record incidents or accidents. All footage can be replayed on the car’s infotainment screen. Having a Drive Recorder eliminates the need to research and purchase the right dash camera(s) and then spend money to have the equipment hardwired into your vehicle. 

Saying “Hey, Toyota” now elicits quicker responses from the vehicle’s in-car Voice Assistant. New microphones have been added throughout the vehicle so that both the driver and passengers can request the attention of the system. Users can also say “Okay, Toyota” or “Hi, Toyota” to start a conversation. The Voice Assistant can help you change the radio station, set the climate control, turn the volume up or down, verify the vehicle’s driving range, and so much more. With the trial or a subscription to Drive Connect, users can specify the navigation system to route the driver to different points of interest and even read the weather to you.  

For RAV4 plug-in hybrid trim levels, the Toyota Audio Multimedia system adds EV Domain to the screen display to help you monitor and control the charging of your vehicle when on the go. By pushing the button on the head unit, users can see information about the vehicle’s best time to charge based on their lifestyle, control charge limits, and more. Drivers can easily be routed to the nearest charging station while on the go with the latest upgrades.  

Additionally, the new Toyota smartphone app adds unique features, such as turning on your vehicle’s headlights or hazard lights, along with opening the trunk and windows, among other things.
