When you are looking for a pickup truck, you want that right mix of work-ready capabilities and a license to have some fun. When you find the right one, it’s time to customize it and make it your own.

Toyota already offers something that not only lays down a lot of capability, but also an invitation to take your truck out into the desert or to a tailgate. That would be the 2025 Tundra SR5 Crew Max with the 5.5-foot bed in the TRD Rally Package.

When you opt for the TRD Rally Package, you get a slew of features to enhance your experience on and off the road in your 2025 Tundra SR5. These features include Bilstein shocks, all-terrain tires on TRD 18-inch off-road wheels, skid plates, mudguards, TRD exhaust, an electronically controlled locking rear differential, CRAWL control, Downhill Assist Control, and Multi-Terrain Select. On the outside, there are some old-school tricolor TRD decals and trim on the grille, wheels, and tailgate, as well as TRD upgrades inside the cabin. The TRD Rally Package cabin also comes with SofTex interior materials and a 14.0-inch audio multimedia touchscreen.

The 2025 SR5 Crew Max with the TRD Rally Package is powered by the i-FORCE 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which delivers 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. This power is sent through a ten-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels via the 4WDemand part-time four-wheel-drive system.

Cars.com recently had one in for testing. They came away with some very good feedback on whether this is the Tundra you should own.

They pointed out that the 2025 Tundra SR5 with the TRD Rally Package “excels in off-road conditions, particularly on washboard roads and in low-speed crawling thanks to its Bilstein shocks, electronic aids, and locking rear differential.” With its 4WDemand system, you can confidently take it out onto the desert floor or a long, winding campsite access in a nearby forest up in the mountains.

The i-FORCE V6 twin-turbocharged engine is a powerful source of energy to take you to those places.  As Cars.com said, “the Tundra demonstrates strong towing performance even without the hybrid system, handling steep grades and freeway speeds with stability.”

The 2025 Tundra is already the right pickup truck for work and play. We now have new 2026 models in, with the TRD Rally Package returning to the SR5 grade in the CrewMax /5.5-foot bed configuration. If this is your choice for a full-size pickup truck, contact us at Valley Hi Toyota to check it out.
