​​King Bach Teams with Toyota again in a Fun New Corolla Cross Hybrid Video​ 

Toyota, in collaboration with SiriusXM satellite radio, launched a 3:45 video titled “Tea Time” to promote the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid. It stars King Bach, an internet celebrity with over 54 million combined followers on Instagram and TikTok, who was involved in a previous promotion for the Corolla sedan hybrid last year. Valley Hi Toyota offers you this description of the amusing piece. 

The video opens to show a waterfront British mansion that makes Downton Abby look dreary in comparison. The estate patriarch Archibald is in the parlor plying cars with some young upper-class men, including the only slightly smarmy Richard, whom Archibald suggests as a suitor for his daughter. But it turns out the daughter, Elizabeth, has a date of her own, who, of course, is King Bach. 

When Bach arrives in his loud shirt, gold chain, and casual demeanor, Archibald storms out to confront this most unsuitable suitor, only to immediately become smitten with Bach’s ride, a bright blue Corolla Cross Hybrid. Forgetting Elizabeth for the moment, King Bach shows Archibald the car, name-checking the hybrid drivetrain and all-wheel drive system before they head out for a ride.  

SiriusXM gets its visibility when the car is started, and King Bach’s loud, obnoxious music blares through the speakers. Archibald finds comfort in a SiriusXM classical station, and the two go off on a joy ride to William Tell’s Overture.  The SiriusXM App is later shown while the two stop for tea. 

From that point on, there is surprisingly little information on the vehicle, as we see it gallivanting about on gravel roads throughout the English countryside. At one point, Bach’s character even performs a “Rockford turn” when fleeing Richard, whose golf shot the two purposely ruined. 

Given an opportunity to drive the car, Archibald remarks about its power, but the total system’s 196 horsepower figure is not mentioned. Nor is the Corolla Cross’s impressive 46 city, 39 highway, and 42 combined fuel economy. On the other hand, the viewer gets plenty of opportunities to take in the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid’s new front end. For a model that first appeared in 2020, the Corolla Cross has had a surprising number of front design treatments. This one will likely remain, as it echoes design themes seen on other Toyota crossovers, such as the RAV4. 

Through it all, King Bach appears handsome and affable, but it is really Archibald you pay attention to, as he steadily loses all his inhibitions. King Bach eventually returns to start his date with Elizabeth, only to find that she has given up on him and leaves the estate in her own Corolla Hatchback, followed by Richard in a Corolla Sedan, thus representing all Corolla body styles.
