​​The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 1958 Brings Back That Vintage Vibe​ 

The return of the Toyota Land Cruiser was heralded as a triumph for those seeking off-road capability befitting its legendary status. The 2025 model includes two trim levels, including the 1958 model with its vintage vibe.  

The 2025 Land Cruiser 1958 model stays true to the model’s past. It is named to commemorate Toyota’s arrival in the U.S.A. that year. The Land Cruiser is still an upright four-door SUV, replete with round headlamps, cloth seats, and an eight-inch center infotainment touchscreen. It also gives you space for up to five people and offers expansive cargo space to bring your gear up to the mountains or out into the desert.  

The classic design vibe makes it a very attractive package. However, this classic-looking SUV has many more modern features that make it relevant for today’s adventure drivers. At its core, the 326-horsepower i-FORCE MAX 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid driveline is a capable machine for off-road trekking. The 426 pound-feet of torque puts the power down where it’s needed.  

That power is sent through a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case, Active Traction Control, a locking Torsen center differential, and locking front and rear differentials. All Land Cruiser models come with CRAWL control, which helps scale more challenging hills.  

A set of 18-inch alloy wheels is one of the more modern touches seen on the 2025 Land Cruiser 1958 model. In all, it is an excellent blend of everything you’re looking for in a rugged SUV.  

The Top Speed website had a chance to take the 2025 Land Cruiser 1958 model at its paces. They summarized their impressions by saying that it “is responsive and rides smoothly. On dirt, the Land Cruiser truly comes into its own, both exuding and inspiring confidence in its ability to deal with whatever the trail might throw at it.”
