Toyota Unveils Camry GT-S Concept at 2025 SEMA Show

January 15th, 2026 by

Toyota used the 2025 SEMA show to debut the Camry GT-S concept. The vehicle sports a chassis and aesthetic design that has no notable aspects that would prevent it from entering production someday. Valley Hi Toyota shares details on the Camry GT-S concept.

SEMA is known for bold, over-the-top builds, but the Camry GT-S feels refreshingly realistic, like something you could actually see parked in a real driveway. It is based on the 2025 Camry XSE. Like all new Camry models, it is a hybrid, and the 232-horsepower stock 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain is unaltered.

The Camry GT-S concept is an exciting study with aspirations that are born from the racetrack,” said Kevin Hunter, Executive Design Director, Toyota North America. “As the high-performance hero of the Camry lineup, it exemplifies Toyota’s dedication to delighting customers with a bold and exciting driving experience. Our goal was to imagine the next evolution of Camry XSE through aggressive front, side, and rear enhancements that reinforce Camry’s unique position in the world of sport sedans.”

This show-stopping sedan was designed by CALTY Design Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The first thing you notice, even from across the Las Vegas Convention Center, is the bright orange “Inferno Flare” exterior color. This is perfectly set off by the predominantly black hood and rear deck lid that appear as an extension of the black roof and tinted windows. The black rear deck ends with a similarly colored rear spoiler, while the rear bumper was redesigned with a gloss-black lower fascia that seamlessly surrounds the performance exhaust outlets. Continuing the theme, gloss black accents the lower edge of the body, with side rocker panels that include GT-S badging behind the front fender, serving as a lower frame for the aggressive black grille upfront. The black and orange color scheme is topped off with 20-inch performance wheels featuring orange-trimmed center caps.

Behind the wheels are massive 8-piston calipers squeezing 365mm rotors up front, paired with 6-piston calipers and 356mm rotors in the rear. Look closer, and you’ll find adjustable coilovers that lower the car by 1.5 inches.

“Camry has always been a core part of our lineup, and with the GT-S Concept, we’re showing what’s possible when you infuse a sport sedan with even more attitude and performance-inspired personality,” said Mike Tripp, Group Vice President, Toyota Marketing. “This build is intentionally grounded in reality—it’s the kind of car customers can picture themselves driving home. SEMA gives us the chance to test new ideas, listen to enthusiasts, and explore how we continue to evolve Camry in ways that excite and inspire.”

The Camry GT-S Concept is one of over twenty Toyota concept cars shown at SEMA and featured under this year’s theme, Powered by Possibility, which showcases Toyota’s dedication to innovation across all types of powertrains: gasoline internal combustion (ICE), hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), battery electric (BEV), and even fuel cell electric (FCEV).

While this car isn’t headed to Valley Hi Toyota’s inventory yet, the 2026 Camry is available with its model-wide hybrid drivetrain, producing 225 horsepower on FWD models and the same 232 horsepower as the GT-S on AWD models. In FWD form, it offers EPA-estimated city/highway/combined mpg of 52/49/51, while the AWD version achieves up to 50/49/51 mpg. These are truly impressive figures for a mid-size sedan that comfortably seats five adults and offers all the creature comforts you need.
